Moto Z and Z Force announced replacing X series

Lenovo-owned Motorola has announced it’s two new Flagship devices Moto Z and Z force. The announcement was made at an event in San Francisco. The two new flagship devices feature modular accessories like Moto Mods. The successful Moto X series will be replaced by Z series.

Moto Z sports a 5.5-inch AMLOED 2k display running on Android Marshmallow out of the box. It gets a powerful Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor on top of 4 GB RAM. It weighs about 133 grams and 5.19 mm thick which is light and slim. They had to comprise with 3.5 mm jack and the battery. The USB Type-c is loaded inside with mere 2600 mAh battery.

On the back, it has a 13-megapixel camera with OIS, Laser autofocus, and Dual LED correction flash. The phone chips in a 5-megapixel front shooter.

Moto Z Force has almost similar specs to Z with some additions. The Z force comes with a larger 3500 mAh battery with fast charging support. An improvement in the rear camera department with a 21-megapixel shooter. It supports deep trench isolation and phase detection autofocus.

The fingerprint sensor on these devices is placed similarly to Moto G4 Plus.  The Moto Z is international variant whereas Z force is limited to US. Moto Z will be available globally from September 2016.
