Lenovo by Moto just announced 2 new budget smartphones Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus officially in the US and other countries. Both the smartphones offer the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat, fingerprint sensor, selfie flash and metallic body.
Both Moto devices have the metal back and moto dimple on it. Both of them has a front facing fingerprint scanner and also have the 3.5mm HeadPhone Jack. The good news is that despite being budget smartphones they come with latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat (as Android O is not officially launched).
First, let’s talk about the specification of Moto E4. It runs on on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and comes with a single-SIM and dual-SIM variant. It sports a 5-inch HD (1280 X 720 p) display and powered by the 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor or a Snapdragon 427 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB Internal Memory which is expandable via micro sd card. Also, this device houses another chip outside North America which is 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737.
Let’s talk about cameras, the Moto E4 has an 8 MP rear camera with autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, and single-LED flash. At the front, there is a 5 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and a selfie flash. It houses a 2800mAh removable battery with 5W/10W rapid charging and a water-repellent coating. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11n, Micro USB port, GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, 4G VoLTE and NFC (optional).
Now Let’s see its bigger brother Moto E4 Plus. It has a slightly bigger 5.5-inch HD (1280 X 720 p) display. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 427 processor with Adreno 308 GPU in the US, and 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor with 650MHz Mali T720 MP1 GPU outside of North America. It comes in two variants 2GB RAM /16GB storage and 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage expandable via MicroSD card. It runs on on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and comes with a single-SIM and dual-SIM variant.
Moto E4 Plus has 8MP auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1.12um pixel size. At the front, there is a 5 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and a selfie flash. The biggest USP of the Moto E4 Plus is 5000mAh non-removable battery that supports rapid charging of 10W.
