Micromax is on the way to launch its new budget device Canvas Play. Earlier Micromax Canvas Spark was released for a price tag of Rs 4999. Micromax Canvas Play falls under the same category with similar kind of specifications as Canvas Spark.
The phone is spotted on Micromax official site with full specifications. Unfortunately there is no information on pricing and availability. The phone packs in with 5.5 inch screen with 480*854 pixels resolution. The phablet has a tasty Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Canvas Play is powered by 1.3 GHz Quadcore processor (unknown chipset). The RAM is about 1 GB and comes with 8 GB of internal storage. The expandable storage is upto 32 GB via SD card. The company is offering 5 MP camera on the back which is low for a 5.5 inch phablet. There is a VGA Camera (0.3 MP) on the front for video calling.
The phone houses 2820 mAh long lasting battery giving 10 hours of continues usage. Micromax Canvas Play comes with stylish flip cover for free. Other key features include dual sim (3G+2G), Wifi, Bluetooth and GPS
