Indian domestic mobile company Micromax becomes No 1 mobile vendor. The company beats its rival Samsung in total market share. This is the first time for Samsung to loose its top position. In Q1-2014 Micromax was in the second list after Samsung. But now the Scenario has changed as Micromax offering some really good phones at affordable prices.
In Q2-2014 Micromax top the list with 16.6% market share where as Samsung stands Second with 14.4%. Followed by Nokia with 10.9 % which has third position in total market share. Karbonn and Lava stands with fourth and fifth position with 9.5% and 5.5% respectively.
But after the entry of Xiaomi and Motorola , Micromax is feeling the heat for sure. Coming to the smartphone market, Samsung holds top position with 25.3%. Micromax is behind with 19.1 market share. Karbonn stands third, Motorola gets 4th position and Nokia stands on 5th. The surprise part is Nokia which is lagging way behind with other brands. The list may change quickly as Xiaomi is booming the Indian Market with its flagship killer MI 3.
Xiaomi will launch two new handsets Redmi 1S and Redmi Note in this month. These handsets surely gonna break all the records. Micromax need to comeup with new high end phones to compete against Xiaomi.
