Meizu recently announced their Meizu MX6, their true flagship, in their event which was held in China. It comes with a 5.5-inches Sharp TDDI LCD display with paper-thin bezels and is powered by a Mediatek Helio X20 Deca-core processor. Yes, you heard it right, a 10 core processor which is the selling point of this phone.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with their own UI Flyme OS 5.2 on top of it. It comes with a 12 MP rear camera along with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF ( Phase Detection Auto Focus ), Sony IMX386 sensor which is 1.25 ?m pixels. This is also the first smartphone having the same Sony IMX386 sensor in it’s 5 MP front camera too.
The body is completely made of metal and just weighs about 155 grams. It comes with a fingerprint sensor too with what they call as the mTouch 2.1 recognition system having the ability to unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds. The fingerprint can also be used to unlock Payments just like Android Pay by taking the full advantage of Android 6.0’s inbuilt fingerprint recognition API. It packs a 3060 mAh battery with their so called feature mCharge that lets you charge the phone up to 65% in 30 minutes and fully charge it in just 75 minutes using a 24W fast charger.
The Meizu MX6 will be available in Grey, Silver, Gold and Pink colors and is priced at 1999 yuan which is about Rs. 20,040 approx. Starting July 30th, it’ll begin to go on sale in China. Meizu has also introduced Life Jack protective cover for the smartphone for 79 yuan which is about Rs. 790 approx. and no details about the global roll out are available yet.
