On 31st of March Jio announced their upcoming Jio Summer Surprise Offer for their Prime members. But now it seems like that Jio isn’t going to continue with that more according to TRAI’s regulations.
Under Jio Summer Surprise, all the Jio members who got their Prime membership and had done a recharge of 303 (or more) will able to get 3 more months of complimentary data. Under the offer, its subscribers are entitled to get free services for next three months, starting April 15.
But under TRAI’s regulations, it seems like Jio won’t be able to continue their Jio Summer Surprise Plan. TRAI advised Jio to withdraw the 3 months complimentary offer and Jio also silently accepts the decision from TRAI and will be withdrawing it as advised.
However, the customers who already had enrolled to the Jio Summer Surprise Offer will remain eligible for the Summer Surprise offer.
