Huawei P20 with 5.8-inch FHD+ FullView Display, Kirin 970 SoC and Dual Rear cameras announced

Huawei has announced their latest flagship for this year. It’s the Huawei P20 which has been unveiled at an event in Paris, France. The smartphone has metal sides and glass front and back. It has a 24-megapixel front-facing camera with AI beautification, 3D portrait lighting and support for face unlock. It has support for Google AR Core. The Rear cameras have Leica dual-lens which is appreciated a lot for its performance.

The Huawei P20 sports a 5.8-inch screen with a resolution of 2240 x 1080 pixels Full HD+ LCD 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by an Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 970 which has 4 x 2.4 GHz A73+ 4 x 1.8 GHz A53 10nm processor + i7 co-processor NPU, Mali-G72 MP12 GPU.It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It supports dual sims and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Emotion UI (EMUI) 8.1. The other features are USB Type-C Audio, HiFi audio with HWA, Stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos.

The cameras are of 12+20MP Dual Rear cameras with RGB, f/1.8 aperture and Monochrome, f/1.6 aperture respectively. It has a 1.55?m pixel size, dual-tone LED flash, laser focus, deep focus, PDAF and can record 960fps super slo-mo videos. On the front, it has a 24MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX576 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. Other connectivity features are Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the back and comes packed with a 3400mAh battery with fast charging.

The Huawei P20 will be flaunting Black, Champagne Gold, Twilight, Pink Gold and Midnight Blue colors. The smartphone is priced at 649 Euros (Rs. 52,241 approx.)  and has already started rolling out to the retail markets.
