Huawei Honor 9 announced with Dual Camera and 6 GB RAM

Huawei announced the Honor 9 handset in China. It is the upgraded version of Honor 8 which did well here in India.

Honor 9 has a 5.15” 1080p display, with wide color gamut DCI-P3 color space (also used on the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8).Honor 9 is powered by an in-house Kirin 960 chipset which is hooked to 6GB of RAM which is higher than S8, Pixel and other flagship devices except OnePlus 3. In terms of storage, the Honor 9 is available in two variants — one which comes with 64GB and the other with 128GB of onboard storage space both expandable (hybrid SIM slot). There’s a 4GB RAM variant too.

It is powered by Android 7.0 Nougat with a custom skin EMUI 5.1 on top of it.
There are Dual Rear Cameras a 20 MP monochrome sensor, and a 12 MP RGB unit – features 2x optical zoom, portrait and bokeh modes. A single 8 MP (f/2.0) can be found on the front side of the device.

Honor 9 comes with a Hi-Fi audio chip which offers 90% increment in purity and a 60% increase in fidelity. It houses a 3200 mAh battery which supports fast charging.
The device come in Grey, Blue, and Amber Gold. The smartphone has a glass back and metallic body. Also, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Honor 9 is priced at CNY 2,700 ($400/€355) for the 64GB model and CNY 3,000 ($440/€395) for the 128GB one.Huawei also announces its mobile payment service Huawei Pay which is very much like Android Pay but exclusive to Huawei devices in China (as of now), it works over NFC.
