Gionee S9 with Dual Cameras Setup Announced

Gionee has done very well with their smartphones even though being a Chinese brand. We were very impressed from the S6 smartphone at that time and now it’s time to launch something new from Gionee’s side. They’re now up with a dual camera smartphone called the S9. The smartphone was launched today in China itself.

The Gionee S9 specs out to come with a 5.5-inch (1920× 1080) Full HD LTPS with 2.5D curved glass display protection. Under the hood, it comes with octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor clocked at 2 GHz coupled with Mali T860 GPU and 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo OS 3.2 on top of it.

It comes with an internal storage of 64 GB and can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card slot. On the back, we get a 13 MP and a 5 MP dual cameras setup with dual-tone LED flash and 13 MP front-facing camera. It comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded into the smartphone itself. For connectivity we get, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The phone juices up itself with a 3,000 mAh battery.

The Gionee S9 comes in two color variants – Black, Gold, and Rose Gold. It is expected to be priced at 2499 yuan which is Rs. 24700 approximately in Indian currency. It will go on sale in China from November 25th and there are still no details about the global release yet.
