ASUS Zenfone Max (M1) with 5.7-inch full-view display, dual rear cameras and 4000mAh battery announced

Asus has announced the Zenfone 5 along with other smartphones in the line up as Zenfone Max (M1) and Zenfone 5Z. The Zenfone Max (M1) comes with the Mid-budget range smartphones and has an 18:9 display and is powered by Snapdragon 430 / 425 SoCs. The smartphone was previously announced in Russia in November last year. Now, Asus has launched the same smartphone in the MWC 2018.

Asus Zenfone Max (M1) sports a 5.7-inch (1440 ×720 pixels) HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 ( 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + 4 x 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU for the 3GB RAM variant. The 2GB RAM variant is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 Mobile Platform with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes in two storage options 2GB RAM with 16GB storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. It supports Dual SIM (nano + nano) cards.

The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Nougat with ZenUI 5.0 on top. The Zenfone Max (M1) features a Dual 13/16 + 8 MP rear cameras with LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and 120-degree wide-angle lens. On the front, it has a 13 MP on 3GB RAM and 8MP on 2GB RAM selfie cameras with f/2.0 aperture and 85° field of view. It has a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Other connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS. The smartphone boasts a 4000mAh battery.

The Asus Zenfone Max (M1) will be available in Deepsea Black, Sunlight Gold, and Ruby Red colors. The 2GB variant of the smartphone with Snapdragon 425 is already set for pre-order in Russia for 12990 Ruble (US$ 230 / Rs. 15015 approx.). Also, read: Nokia 8 Sirocco announced.
