Asus ZenFone AR with Tango and Daydream support launching on July 13th

Asus is launching ZenFone AR smartphone which supports Tango AR and Google’s Daydream VR, both in one package. This is the first device with an 8GB of RAM before the OnePlus 5 or any other smartphone. The ZenFone AR also has many other interesting things to discuss.

The Daydream VR is a platform made by Google. The platform is only compatible with Google’s own VR wear, Daydream View. The smartphones which are currently compatible are Google Pixel, Moto Z, ZTE Axon 7, Huawei Mate 9 Pro and will be available soon on Samsung Galaxy S8, Asus Zenfone AR. The Daydream VR gives the best “Virtual Reality” experience that you can get with quality content from Google.

What is Tango AR?

Tango AR is a Google owned Augmented Reality systems. The devices which are compatible with this are very limited and Asus ZenFone AR is one of them. So basically, Tango uses your surroundings with the help of GPS to detect the positions. This allows application developers to create user experiences that include indoor navigation, 3D mapping, physical space measurement, environmental recognition, augmented reality, and windows into a virtual world.The Tango AR is still in the developing stage, and with this technology, there are many possibilities. You can also find some games on this platform which are very immersive and intriguing.

The ZenFone AR sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with Corning Gorilla protection. This is powered by a 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes in two variants 6GB RAM and an 8GB RAM with 2GB / 64GB / 128GB / 256GB of internal storage. And runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with Zen UI 3.0. It has an 8MP front-facing camera and has a fingerprint scanner on the front. It has a battery capacity of 3300mAh with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

The device features a 23-megapixel main camera with a motion-tracking camera and a depth-sensing camera that is needed for the Tango AR. The speakers in this device are a Five-magnet that supports HD sound and has DTS virtual surround sound. The ZenFone AR will be launched on July 13th and prices will be revealed on the same day.
