Asus Zenfone AR with 8 GB RAM announced at CES 2017

It was expected from Asus that they’re going to announce an 8 GB RAM phone soon to compete with OnePlus devices. But this time at CES 2017, Asus finally announced their Daydream and Tango-powered smartphone along with 8 GB of RAM.

The Zenfone AR comes with a 5.7-inch (2560 × 1440) Quad HD Super AMOLED display along with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood, it has a Quad-Core Snapdragon 821 processor clocked at with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with a 6 GB of RAM with 32 GB variant as well as 64 GB variant whereas with an 8 GB RAM with 128 GB and 256 GB variant of internal storage.

It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Zen UI 3.0 on top of it. It has a 23MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash and an 8MP front-facing camera along with an 85-degree wide viewing angle lens. It comes with a fingerprint along with some included features like Mono 5 magnet speaker, ASUS SonicMaster 3.0, DTS Headphone: X for virtual 7.1 surround sound Hi-Res Audio 192kHz/24-bit standard, NXP Smart AMP technology. For connectivity, it has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac5 GHz 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C. It is juiced up by a 3,300mAh battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support as well.

The Asus Zenfone AR will be available in Charcoal Black color along with leather finish. It’ll be available from the Q2 of 2017 but there’s no information pricing yet.
