Asus has launched Zenfone 4 series last year and they played fair in the mobile markets. Now, at the MWC 2018 event, Asus has announced a bunch of smartphones and showcased it at the event. The manufacturer has launched a mid-range smartphone dubbed as Asus Zenfone 5. It has a 19:9 display and comes with a Snapdragon Mobile Platform and Dual Cameras on the rear.
The Asus Zenfone 5 sports a 6.2-inch (2246 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 19:9 2.5D curved glass Super IPS display with 500 nits Brightness with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 509 GPU. Coupled with 4GB / 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB /128GB storage, expandable memory up to 2TB with microSD. It runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with ZenUI 5.0 which is upgradable to Android P.
The smartphone also supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano / microSD) with Dual VoLTE. It features a 12+8MP Dual Rear Cameras with dual-tone LED Flash, f/1.8 aperture and f/2.0 aperture respectively. On the front, it has an 8 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, OV8856 sensor, 83-degree wide-angle lens. It has Dual Stereo speakers with 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. Other connectivity options are 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C (2.0). The smartphone boasts a 3300mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast charging and AI charging.
